I've added some notes. UBJ

This is a family tradition/favorite I do for special occasion BBQ's & picnics. I usually have to double the recipe.

One can each of:

green beans
butter beans
lima beans
kidney beans (all drained)
(I also add pinto beans- or any of your favorite beans.)

8 slices of smoky bacon (cut up and fried) (I use 8 for a double batch, too.)
4 med. onions, chopped. (5 is better for ...

this is my first post, I'm a little nervous as I'm not sure what to say.
I love to cook and bake, any and all things that include my favorite room the kitchen, I have high interest in.
I stumbled on this web site as I searched for a recipe online. was surprised to see a cooking site I knew nothing about.

This was a hit yesterday.

I used Wishbone Italian instead of the vinegar and oil, then cubed some apple smoked gouda cheese and tossed that in as well.
Definitely going to be making this again.

I got 21 quarts canned today and about 2 gallons tomatoes cooked to make spag sauces tomorrow. There is over 30 pounds left to can tomorrow as well.

I put together some marinara sauce in the crockpot last night and today I put in the meatballs. It smells so good in here!! I'm using rigatoni (sewer pipes that we used to cal them as kids). I want to make some Italian bread but I really need to get some sleep...........

I'm grilling grass fed beef burgers tonight and little else - nothing sounds good right now.
There are 2 ears of corn in the refer and should do those on the grill, as well. I dunno?
