Post Louisiana Style Lil Smokies
http://www.hotcajunrecipes.com/15-Louisiana_Style_Lil_Smokies_recipe.html

Ingredients

5 slices bacon, diced
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
1 cup pineapple juice
3/4 cup catsup
3 tablespoons Tabasco brand green pepper sauce
1 1/2 packages Lil Smokies brand sausage, chopped
Rice (cooked)

Instructions

Fry bacon over medium heat until crisp and brown.
Add green bell pepper and onion. Cook until tender.
Stir in catsup, juice and green pepper sauce. Mix well.
Add smoked sausage to sauce and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Serve as is or over rice.

And there you have it. A quick, easy meal. And tasty, too. This is the first time I ever had green Tobasco and I like it. Very flavorful stuff.
Changes: I used just one package of Lil Smokies and only had about 1/2c of pineapple juice, so cut up a couple slices of pineapple to make up for it.
Lil Smokies. Not just for ABTs

Super Fred!!
You can't beat quick and easy and I always have those little smokies on hand. Andrew would really love this! I wonder if you could use cut up smoked kielbasa too...

My son loves that green pepper sauce. I've always got 2-3 bottles on hand. I just wish I could find it in the larger size. lol He puts it on everything including pizza.

My first bite I said, this tastes just like their smoked kielbasa. I never had the plain Lil Smokies before, but they taste just like the big stuff.

Yeah, that green pepper sauce needs to be in a bigger bottle, especially for measuring out 3TBS.
