Post Re: Cook-along!
wow looks like I shoulda got back online last evening instead of knitting! or not...... :p

I'm not sure my silly little idea is worth all the fuss.... I kinda meant for it to be the same night, same dish, but if anyone understands not being able to or plans changing, 'tis I!! maybe give it a week or 2, and post the same day? That IS a good idea Fred.

You're right Fred that I tend not to cook on weekends. I shove about 30 hours of bagel-land into my 3 work days, and it takes an act of God for me to come home and even make a sandwich...... but that's when normal people have time for these things. I don't expect anyone to bend to my weird schedule, its one that I chose, I deal with it.

SO! let's all hug and decide what to cook!

Suzi I think you have a GREAT IDEA!! I love it!! I think I missed something - Do you work at a Deli/Bagel shop? I worked a Deli and after the slicing machine/cooking/ AND running the register/bagging all day WHO wants to face another kitchen!! LOL I understand completely!!

I also felt the same way after a day of customerservice/online store. I didn't want to see a puter or phone when I got home!! OR hear voices asking me questions. LOL

Group hug, group hug...
:romance-grouphug:

And I'm just the opposite, Suzi, if I'm going to follow a recipe, I'd just as soon do it on weekends. So when "the committee" has it's vote, I guess we'll know
Of course, some of us are pretty addicted to the dinner thread... might be tough holding back our pic...

That's what I was thinking too Fred. If we were going to post it on the same day alot of us will be posting it in the dinner thread other days. lol We'll think of something.

 Unless you simply say, I made my CAL tonight, pic in 8 days
C'mon, you can withold from posting a dinner pic, can't you ;)
For those who can't, then make it on the picture due date.

It was just a thought. I was trying to come up with a way more could participate, yet maintain the element of surprise. As if we all made it on the same night.
I'm open for suggestions.
As long as you agree with me
