Re: Anybody bake with almond flour?
Wow, was this an eye-opener!! I had to run to K-Mart for a prescription this morning and took a walk down their baking aisle. The almond flour was $11.99/lb. I paid like $1.59/lb at our Marc's store. How ridiculous is that??

Re: Anybody bake with almond flour?
I have posted on other sites that K-Mart's CEO has demanded 30% (min) profit on all food items, and will not back down from this regardless of plummeting numbers in grocery. This is why you will always have lots of room in the aisles of K-Mart food areas....the smart shopper doesn't waste their time or money in that store. Giant Eagle is another ripoff store. You pay through the nose to offset the "free gas" program. Ever notice they never post the price per pound of meat that is BOGO? That's because they have jacked-up the price so they still make the same margin. I buy gift cards there so I get free gas, but rarely grocery shop at GE.
DS brought me rice flour from the Amish store yesterday...$1.34 per#.

I found almond meal/flour at TJ's. TJ's price $3.99 for a 1 lb bag. Shop-Rite price $8.99 for a 1 lb bag.
