I don't go there often but they sometimes have some really good deals. I've tried a few of the store brands and I wasn't impressed but they also get deals on some name brand stuff too. As for canned goods, do you have a Big Lots or dollar general? You can pick up some good deals there on canned goods sometimes.

Yep, we have both of those within a five minute drive. I do go there frequently. I do find some interesting things at Big Lots. lol

I've been to wall mart a few times but but do not like the store or their practices.

I normally shop Safeway or a local chain called TOP. Most of our shopping we
do at the McChord commissary. Now Tyson is taking over their meat department
and wants to pre pack meat in the midwest to sell in all the commissaries. Our
local commissary does their own beef cutting but more and more pork is pre-packed.

We still have a lot of local meat shops and will start using them more and more.

We haven't used Costco for several years but now that liquor will be sold there
will rejoin.

I used to stock groceries and work produce at a local Red Owl when I was in high
school. Times were so much simpler then.

Well that's reason enough. lol Out here you can practically buy liquor any where......especially beer and wine. Convenience stores, gas stations, grocery stores, drugstores, etc....

I love our small family grocery store for most meats. They have a butcher that will get you most of what you want. All of their chickens are Amish grown. If not I do have a lot of meat stores around here..
