 Frog Legs
Has anyone ever made them?? I saw some frozen in the grocery store today and wondered about how to cook them and what they taste like......anyone??? They were pretty plump ones too.

 Re: Frog Legs
Oh yeah! Buy them! Quick before they're gone!
I used to make them all the time when I lived in Canada. But I never see them in the stores here. They are great!
Use a light batter (like you would on fish) or even a tempura batter. Deep fry for a few minutes until golden, but not too long (think of shrimp).
A good homemade tartar sauce. HEAVEN!

Another way is to bread or batter them, then lightly pan fry. Turn once. Just a minute or two on each side, depending on the size.
I'm jealous!

 Re: Frog Legs
Just be sure to use the size as a judge for the cooking time. Just like shrimp or chicken wings, they come in all sizes. If they're big, I'd err on the side of a little too long rather than under cooked.

 Re: Frog Legs
Never made them, but the ones I've eaten were always breaded and deep fried. I like them!

 Re: Frog Legs
We love them - I understand they're farm raised in China now, too. I never see them around here.
Back in the Mid West we used to go out in the evening and gig them. It was a lot of fun of a hot sweaty night.
We'd just flour and fry them in cottonseed oil. Good eating.

 Re: Frog Legs
Make sure you have them do a little dance. It's tradition!
