mmmmmmm......Soooooo yummy! I have to check out your jam thumb prints....is the cookie part very tender? I had some the other night at a party and someone made the same and they were buttery and so melt in your mouth tender!

I'm going to make rum balls today.... stopped at the liqour store after picking up the boys last night :) probably should have stopped for a lemon too for the lemon cookies.... Oh well. I can get that tomorrow.

As for the thumbprints, it's just a basic shortbread dough:

1 cup softened butter, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt creamed together until butter pales. Added 2 egg yolks, 1 tsp. vanilla and whipped until light. Gradually mixed in 3 cups flour.

Refrigerated the dough for a couple of hours and then took a tablespoon of dough and rolled it into a ball and used my little finger to poke a hole in it. Filled with jam and then refrigerated for about 1/2 hour right before baking so they wouldn't spread too much and the filling overflow.

I drizzled white chocolate over some and dusted others with powdered sugar. I think I liked the lemon curd dusted with powdered sugar the best.
