Post What are your plans today? (or what have you done?)
Today I didn't do much of anything. And you?
Oh, OK, I'll start ;)

I sprinkled a little granular fertilizer on some bushes that needed a little help. That's right, I'm not "organic" Two knock down rose bushes I planted last year, some of you may remember, one must have been smoking when I wasn't looking because his growth was stunted, so he got a little help in the form of bagged fertilizer. The other got nada. Also my tree I planted a couple years ago. It never really grew last year, just got some leaves that I thought could have looked better. And it lost it's leaves in the first windstorm last fall, so he got some help. I'm really hoping it looks like it's doing something this year. Growing or something that lets me know he'll make it. That one I dug up out back and replanted last year is doing great, go figure. I treated that thing like a glorified weed that barely had three roots left to take hold... it's already getting leaves

I was hoping for a youtube moment today, but wasn't rewarded :(
I was watching my neighbor have her young nephew try to pull this stump out with his truck. She had someone show up last week and cut the tree down, leaving a 2 ft tall stump behind. Her nephew has been picking up the branches the past few days. Apparently today was stump removal day, but it's still firmly rooted in the ground. The poor kid was digging and pulling and digging and pulling... All she has to do is ask and I'd go right over with my backhoe. It's hooked up from cleaning some crap out my creek Easter and also pulling a root ball out for my other neighbor. Oh, and burying a fox that my nose found in my pole barn  but noooo.... I think she's still made from me landscaping several years ago. Anyway, that was exciting for a couple hours, but only in anticipation. He never did give that chain a good jerk  And dI wonder if she realizes the hole that will be left when that stump is gone...

So the overcast day has finally given way to some sun, but no sense doing today what I can put off til tomorrow...

lovin' this Fred.... I was gonna start today but I didn't wanna bother anyone who didn't care.... HAHA not that I dont care :D

no outside today. Last week and 70's spoiled me. My semi-annual leafblowing is about 2 hours from finished, almost a month ahead and more yard than usual. Wind was blowing the wrong direction today, and I have a bad habit of neglecting indoor everyday stuff to work on outside. I did however see the world's largest squirrel climb a tree today.... thought it was g roundhog, almost grabbed the bb gun you should see my lawn (and you WILL!)

SO I folded Mt. Laundry, made a pot roast..... chatted with Grantskat on FB about 4 hours hehe. I bet she did as not much as me, just ask her. :D

Maybe it was a groundhog. I've had more than a couple people where I live tell me they've seen groundhogs up in trees eating :o
But world's largest squirrel sounds better

You ended up going with the pot roast huh? ;)

And you've gotta get a mulcher or something. I remember that pick of your leaves. That's a lotta leaves.

lol, I know, I get so envious of the neighbor and has tow-behind vac, 15 more acres and 5 days less work.... however I've either come to peace with it or actually like my leafblowing!! Something about getting to wear earplugs and the kids wanting nothing to do with me. haha I dunno it just seems to call to me

Lol Chow, are those maybe knockout roses :D ? I trimmed a couple of shrubs that needed hand trimming, and I cut back some lantana. I've also got a back bed that gets very little sun, so I've got a plan in the works to plant some pachysandra in there. Here's my pic of the azaleas that are starting to bloom (and I haven't fed them in about 2 years):

I did a little yard clean up in the flower beds. I also went to the store to buy stuff for a party I'm having Sunday, to the bank, to get gas, etc. DH went out and spent a shitload of money for accessories for his new tv. I give up!!

Yeah but.....didn't he just do a hellavu lot of work on this site for his little woman. He probably needs those tv accessories  .

Yes, he did but, but..........."needs" the accessories??? That's a matter of opinion.

Those azaleas are gorgeous Cooksie! They haven't even started blooming here yet.

Yep, you were right, Cooksie, Knock Out Rose.

Today I think the big plans are rolling the yard. Two schools of thought on this, but around here we roll. The frost heaves the ground so much from winter, it's a bumpier ride mowing if you don't. I might check out a nursery, too. I'd like to get some more blue clips and something yellow. They're probably open by now.
