The place sounds interesting Steve........at least the weather has been cooperating, no?

30's and 40's the next few days with no rain!! Yea! I have bowling tonight so won't be cooking. I'm getting started on my rye bread and depending how motivated I am I'll bake the sourdough loaves today too. Not much else going on here today....

Last night we ate at the Honey Pig in Tacoma. You sit around a grill and
they grill lightly frozen thin slices of beef, pork and uncured bacon. There
are also rice wraps, and various kinds of veggies, pickles, and a special
salade used with the little wraps. It was all you can eat and we did a separate
plate of beef again. The gal had several tables to help and one takes over
the grill to help thing along. My oldest and I kept the meat grilling. All the
little sides were very good and I especially like the kimchi - every one tried
a bite but I was the one that finished off all the extra plates plus one extra.
It was a three star place and that's what I'd give it. Towards the end the smoke
was getting to me and had to go outside for fresh air - the place was packed
towards the end of our dining and there was a bit of residual smoke in the
place even though each table had a over grill vent going full blast.

On a side note, at the beginning of the evening a Korean "gangster" came
in with big ugly white dude and called our waitron over to the side and was
giving her orders and motioning to the white guy. The conversation carried
on over to the till where he opened it up and took out some cash, she followed
them outside, then came back in looking very distressed. The gangster looked
like he could play linebacker and one would not want to mess with him.

The place is on South Tacoma Way and the whole area has been taken over
by Asian buisnesses and always been associated with the seedier side of night life.

That sounds like a great place to eat JW. It sounds like they need a better ventilation system. We go to a local hibachi grill here and with their venting system there's never any smoke. I like eating at those types of places...

I think it's OK you just have to get up close to turn the meat and it's in your face - no avoiding it.

This is the first time we've tried a place like this.

I could have used a little bowl of rice, too, but none was on the menu.

Not feeling too well this morning......too much bowling! DH came up to watch me for a bit and we stopped at Denny's for some breakfast on the way home. I had the Western Sizzlin Skillet. It had peppers, chorizo, hash browns topped w/two fried eggs. Also had rye toast. YUM! But wow was it spicy. lol I think I'll be taking it easy today......

Need to get the sourdough bread going for the crackbread tonight. Might even try a new recipe for some whole grain bread for DH.

I'm getting ready to head to the gym, then later am going to grill
bacon wrapped hotdogs, heat up some leftover chili, and make
some bacon wrapped smokies to smoke cook on the grill. It
looks like it will be jet the two of us for the football game and
she won't watch it.

It looks like another beautiful sunny day so maybe I can spend
an hour picking up storm debris. I've not been good about it.

I never did get to the yard but did do a good workout in the gym.
About the time I'm ready to watch the game she decides to clean
out the desk and sort papers. She does this to aggravate me.

Next weekend it's supposed to rain so no yard work will get done
then - I was wanting to go skeet shooting but won't shoot in the rain.

Have a good day. BBBJW

Doing laundry, too. It never ends.
