 Re: Crab Rangoons?
Tried them at a Polynisian restaurant (Trader Vics?) & made them years ago*. Most of the recipes are pretty much the same, & a little bland. I would cut down on the cream cheese, add minced garlic (oven roasted, if you like), minced chives, a dash of worcestershire and/or soy sauce or Tabasco to kick it up a bit; and serve it with a sweet & sour dipping sauce. You could add water chestnuts to give it a little crunch. Thinking outside the "rangoon" box, you could make shrimp (marinated in lime juice & garlic) rangoon. Have fun with it. Speaking of Ikea lol, I found a knock-off recipe for their Swedish meatballs I want to try. Let's see if I can find lingonberry jam. *You made me think of Pupu platters. Anyone remember these?

 Re: Crab Rangoons?
That sounds like a plan Cal! The ingredients sound like what I've found in my search except for the water chestnuts, nice added dimension. We'll see what I come up with. lol
Pupu platters........I remember having those in Hawaii. Awesome!
