Having a party? Going to a party? Do you know what's on your menu or what you're making?

We used to go to my aunt and uncle's but now they go to Florida every year. lol We'll probably just have some friends in and make a bunch of appys and chili for half time. I haven't figured out everything to make yet.

Not sure at this point. There's an outside chance that we'll go to the in-laws house.

My Dad likes to do Superbowl..... but we hardly ever go becasue I work so early on Mondays, and they are 40 min away.
This year they suckered us by combining it with his b-day. Nice. :naughty:

They have 2 lazy-boy chairs in thier tv room, explain how this makes sense to hold a "party" at which all 10 "guests" are supposed to be watching the tv?? :?

The plaintiff rests your honor......

I just saw them making these and they look soo good. I'm making these since I'll be using the grill any way. lol I'll just use a different type of onion.

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/patr ... index.html
Grilled Vidalia with Bacon Butter
Ingredients

* 4 large Vidalia onions
* Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
* 1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
* 3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
* 2/3 cup crumbled blue cheese
* 2 tablespoons freshly chopped thyme leaves

Directions

Special equipment: Heavy duty aluminum foil

Preheat grill to medium heat.

Cut onion top and "backtail" so onion can sit flat. Peel the onion. Using a parking knife cut a hollow cone-like shape into the center of the onion making sure not to go all the way to the bottom. Salt and pepper to the cavity. Place onions on individual squares of heavy duty aluminum foil.

Add the butter, bacon, blue cheese, and thyme to a bowl and mix until well combined. Add large dollops of the butter to each cavity of the onions. Fold the aluminum foil all around the onion, gathering at the top and sealing to create a tent.

Place on the grill over direct heat and cover the grill. Cook for 30 minutes until onions are soft. Let cool for 5 minutes before opening the foil packet and serving.

I don't make a tent, but I do take a separate piece of foil and make a small pedestal to keep it upright, so I don't lose my butter.
Those ingredients you posted sound nice.

And while your messin' with onions and bacon...
