Post What's the best cut of meat for making jerky?
I'm going to make some beef jerky in my dehydrator. I made it a few years ago but don't remember what cut of meat I used.......Any suggestions?

I use eye of round, and have the butcher slice it for me. Easy peasy!

Flank steak seems to ring a bell. One of those meats I can never find.

I think that flank steak would work fine, but it's too darn expensive here...

Sorry Fred, I missed your post.

Yep, I think flank steak is on sale this week for $7.49/lb. lol I think I'll try the eye of round this time.

Holy Cow! I'd hate to use something that expensive for jerky.

I always use flank steak-put it in the freezer until its about 2/3 of the way frozen, then slice it to your desired thickness with a sharp knife-works great!

Really Bob?? Is the price about the same? I think I'm going to go with the eye of round first and make sure I get it right then maybe I'll consider the flank steak if I can get a better price. :)
